My name is Tyrah.
I was born and raised on the westside of Kauai, Hawaii & I like to think of myself as a simple island girl, dedicated to helping local small business achieve success!
About me...
I started my bookkeeping business with the intention of helping other local, small businesses reach their ultimate goal: success!
How will I do that? I come from many years of experience working hands on in the field of bookkeeping and accounting. I'm confident I can do my job, do it right, and with integrity.
Since I was a sophomore at Waimea High School, I knew that I wanted to be in the accounting field and so I set forth doing what I needed to prepare for my future career. Eventually, I graduated college with an AA degree in Accounting and my BSBA with a concentration in Accounting. I also completed a course with the Surgent Tax School for my Chartered Tax Professional certification and am a current PTIN holder. Most recently, I received my Bookkeeping Certification with the NACPB. And am currently working on getting my CPB license as well.
(all this while raising my kids, working a full-time job, and being team mom for our youth cheer team!)
I've worked in the hospitality industry for over 10 years, retail and manufacturing in between that, and most recently worked in the service industry as a bookkeeper/accountant. Starting my own business was a decision I made because as a parent I wanted one thing: to leave my children with a legacy they can be proud of and maybe one day, carry it on for themselves.
I have 3 children and always teach them to strive to be better. Better than you are today, and better than you will be tomorrow. I don't see mistakes as signs of failure but as lessons to be learned. We're not meant to be perfect, but there's nothing stopping us from trying to achieve perfection.
